§ 01
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Website owners use them widely to make their sites work, or to work more efficiently, and to gather reporting information. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by other parties are called third-party cookies.
A cookie file typically contains the name of the website that set it, a random unique identifier, and a lifetime value that determines how long the file stays in your browser. Cookies do not contain readable personal information on their own — they associate your browser session with a record on a server, not your name or address.
